Rebrand for Pelican

The name change reflects Pelican’s development from a traditional PR agency into a marketing communications consultancy, delivering everything from brand management and content creation, through to social media, SEO and people development and training.

Managing director, Michael Bennett said: “This is a small but significant change, designed to better reflect the range of services we now provide for our growing client base.

“When Pelican launched in 1999, we were a traditional PR agency trading on our media contacts and our copywriting skills. Today we are a 15-strong communications consultancy, dedicated to our specialist markets and operating across the UK and Europe. We deliver everything from brand management and content creation through to social media, SEO and people development and training. And yes, we still deliver outstanding media relations consultancy.”

The fundamental changes that have taken place at Pelican were recognised recently with the accolade of the North’s ‘Best Small Marketing Agency’ in the Northern Marketing Awards.

Bennett added: “In their summary the judges’ praised our: “intelligent approach to business planning and a clear investment in our staff.” This was underlined when Rachel Ferguson, one of our senior consultants, was awarded ‘Best Young Professional’ in the nationwide Fresh Awards.”

“We are proud and delighted at these achievements, but we are not resting on our laurels. The lesson of the last fifteen years has been that the pace of change will only get faster, and so we have ambitious plans to continue to grow our business and our expertise for the benefit of our team and our clients.”
