Coppenrath & Wiese approached Pelican to help grow their share of the retail frozen desserts market. To support the consumer media campaign we needed to create a digital presence of the brand for the UK market. The existing international Coppenrath & Wiese website was geared to continental markets and was not suitable for the UK.
Taking the existing above the line campaign as a creative lead we established a new web-based campaign portal which acts as an online hub for all digital activity for Coppenrath & Wiese in the UK. Undertaking a social media audit provided us with valuable insight into our customer’s online habits. From this we were able to develop social media channels and campaigns to promote the brand and products. A new UK website was concieved and designed by Pelican, showcasing Coppenrath & Wiese’s range of desserts, recipes and suggestions.
Our dedicated Twitter feed @VickySponge has over 4,500 followers and we count over 5,000 Facebook likes. More than that, these social channels have driven traffic back to the campaign portal and led to Kantar Worldpanel counting Coppenrath & Wiese as the leading frozen dessert brand in the run up to the key Christmas market.
