European Award for Pelican

A project from Pelican Communications has been recognised with a prestigious European communications award.

The social media campaign for APEAL – the Association of European Producers of steel for packaging, has won a Bronze Award at the European Association Awards 2018 in Brussels.

The campaign highlighted the role steel packaging can play in

helping achieve the goals and objectives set out in the European Commission’s Circular Economy Package (CEP) and featured an animated film produced by partner agency Morris & Chapman.

Trade association Apeal works to increase understanding and support for steel as a sustainable and resource efficient packaging solution.

Commenting on the award, Apeal communications manager Patricia Mobbs said: “This is the third year in a row that Apeal has won a Europe-wide award for our digital and social media, it’s a great example of partners coming together to deliver a winning formula.”
