Pelican gets wasted

Pelican’s specialist recycling PR team have been chosen to promote the UK’s biggest waste and sustainability event the Recycling and Waste Management exhibition (RWM).

This year the show takes place at Birmingham’s NEC between 13 and 15 September. It is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors this year.

Our recycling and sustainability team has been briefed to establish the event as a key diary date for companies that produce waste in sectors such as retail and construction.

The 2011 event is set to bigger than ever after it was announced in December that this year’s event will be significantly expanded. The expansion is the result of the Futuresource Exhibition organised by The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) and the Environmental Services Association (ESA), merging with RWM which is organised by EMAP.

Pelican PR’s sustainability expert Richard Truman said: “As the industry’s leading exhibition this is a highly prestigious account gain. Our knowledge of the market and passion for sustainability put us in a great position to promote the event.”
