Since 1983 Leatherman has been making a range of innovative multi-tools from its worldwide headquarters in Portland, Oregon. Our outdoor PR team was asked to help support a UK sales drive.
The Leatherman brand was already well known in the outdoor sector, so our job was to keep Leatherman in the news by focussing on new models and innovations. We launched an active media relations campaign to keep the multi-tools on the gear review pages of all key consumer publications.
We also recognised that a Leatherman makes a great gift for Father’s Day or Christmas so we targeted national media gift guides and seasonal features.
Our campaign helped drive sales, achieving extensive national media coverage, generating 12.5 million opportunities to see and a PR value of £1.4 million.
