Marketing communications consultancy Pelican Communications has won a major digital marketing award for the second year running.
The Saddleworth-based consultancy picked up the best Digital and Social Strategy Award for its work for Decathlon at the Public Relations Consultants Association Dare Awards held on 18 June in Manchester. The awards recognise the best marketing talent in the North of England.
Pelican also collected the Technology, Trade and B2B Award for its branding and marketing campaign for TRM Packaging.

Pelican’s ‘Drop into a new sport’ campaign for Decathlon helped boost the sports retailer?s online sales. It combined social media, photography, Vine videos and an online game to create an engaging customer experience that encouraged shoppers to buy equipment to allow them to try a new sport or outdoor activity.
Michael Bennett added: ‘Digital and social media is now a vital tool for any retailer looking to drive online sales. This innovative campaign delivered online engagement and most importantly sales.’
